We are the leading foodservice and hospitality provider across the Island of Ireland, and we are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our talented team on a full time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to provide commercial financial support to Compass Group Ireland.
You will play a crucial role in driving commercial performance, optimizing profitability, and enhancing overall business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Act as primary commercial finance support to the Commercial Leads.
Manage the accounting of supplier rebates in line with contractual terms, including: Ensuring commercial arrangements are accurately loaded into SAP and reflected in unit P&Ls.
Prompt invoicing of supplier rebates and monitoring cash collection.
Timely reconciliation of major supplier accounts to ensure appropriate income recognition.
Provide monthly commentary on trends and variances in Purchasing Income to the Country FD during the period close.
Support the Finance Manager in monitoring strike rates to identify unusual variances.
Evaluate switch opportunities (supplier or product) or potential financial benefits of listing new suppliers/products.
Budget and forecast Purchasing Income in line with known rebate structures and potential stretch targets.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support commercial decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and assess financial models for new projects and initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Assist in the development of business cases and financial projections for new products and services.
Support month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
About You: Part-qualified or interested in pursuing finance qualifications (e.g., CIMA/ACCA).
Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting standards.
Experience using financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Experience with accounting software as analysis and reporting tools.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information concisely and logically to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Self-motivated with the ability to effectively plan and organize your own work.
Ability to manage a broad spectrum of tasks under pressure and deliver within agreed timescales.
Interest in developing and growing wider business knowledge.
Ability to respond appropriately to queries from varying levels of the company.
