New job opportunity for a Commercial Manager (Fencing) to join a farmer owned co-operative organisation specialising in Farm Relief Services, Fencing, Training, Recruitment and Herdwatch.
PERSON/ROLE PROFILE Our client is looking for a commercial leader to lead one of their six business divisions.
Their require a commercial leader from a construction supply or construction retail background to grow their commercial fencing and retail business both traditional and online.
You will have the ability to articulate a commercial strategy across fencing and retail and plan for growth based on new B2B and B2C propositions.
This role will report directly to the Group CEO, form a key part of the senior leadership team and have full P&L accountability.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS Develop new commercial proposition for the retail side of the business.
Develop a clear proposition for consumers and ensure the retail offering meets their expectations Longer term - Develop a new commercial offering for digital retail.
Identify new commercial opportunities and new markets for contract fencing and develop a robust take to market plan for these new offerings.
Create stand-alone temporary fencing division (central).
Investigate aligned sectors in the construction sector that can drive growth.
Develop a leadership team of knowledgeable staff that have the capability to fully execute these plans.
Lead and manage a team of regional managers.
Ensure systems are fit for purpose.
Visits to multiple locations of our client sites.
Ensure entrepreneurial spirit is maintained at a local level.
Drive change in a systematic calm way.
PERSON REQUIREMENTS Extensive commercial leadership experience in a relevant sector such as retail, e-commerce, construction and/or agricultural product tendering and supply.
A proven business leader who is not phased by managing a diverse set of geographical dispersed offices with 2000 plus staff.
Proven experience of developing servicing offerings in the B2B and B2C environments.
Create a positive culture where people are adaptable and recognise the need to change.
Experience of building and developing great teams.
Show a track record of entrepreneurial growth Experience of building business cases and plans Retail experience in the agri background would be a distinct advantage.
Full drivers licence with access to a car.
