Commissioning Engineer – Automation Our clients, a growing Irish Automation business, are looking to recruit for a new position with the firm. They are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team.

The Role: The Commissioning Engineer is part of a team focused on the transition of the company's high-quality automation equipment from completion build to customer inspection and sign-off. This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to work as part of the engineering project team.

Programme and modify control systems using PLCs, Serco drives, robots, and other specialised controllers. Troubleshoot and adjust mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control equipment. Fault finding. Modifying systems to enhance performance. Perform structured testing to identify limitations. Liaise and communicate with different project team members. Responsible for ensuring that timelines and targets are achieved. The Person: Fully trained Electrician or Mechanical Machine Fitter. Experience in PLCs and HMIs using software such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Festo, Codesys, or Siemens. Knowledge of setting up servos, VFDs, remote I/O, Ethernet, and Profibus networks. Proven electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic experience in the automation industry. Experience of working off schematic drawings. Knowledge of 6-axis robot systems. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills.
