Responsibilities:As a Commodity manager, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset based on commercial knowledge and familiarity of commodity markets.You will be responsible for a defined direct material field, including the pooling and procurement of commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies, interacting with suppliers and cross-functions to ensure the resilience & sustainability of our supply chain.You will drive the advancement of the supplier base to support the growing demand at manufacturing locations for Clinical Laboratory Solutions.You are expected to perform end to end supplier risk management to ensure delivery, quality and cost targets are achieved today and, in the future.You will act as focal point between sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.On an ongoing basis, you will interact with our management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations and global commodity strategy.Minimum Requirements:BS/BA in related discipline QQI level 8Master's degree or MBA is a plusMinimum of 8 years professional experience in related field, preferably in FDA controlled environmentExpertise in commodities sourced for medical devicesWilling to travel up to 20%You are analytical and structured in your problem-solving approach.You are a seasoned negotiator and contributor to the business' profitability.You have a proven ability to drive assignments to full implementation in collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality)You are experienced in supplier capacity, process, and capability assessment and able to identify improvement potentials.For more information and full job spec please contact Clodagh D'Arcy on 01 9476356 or email details to ******.
