The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is the largest civil society organisation in Ireland representing more than 750,000 workers and their families through its affiliated trade unions in both jurisdictions.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Communications and Digital Media Officer.
The Communications and Digital Media Officer will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Congress Communications Strategy, promoting the work of Congress and increasing public understanding of the relevance and benefits of trade union membership, and campaigning to influence support for the policies of the trade union movement.
A key priority of the strategy is enhancing our presence on digital platforms and mainstream media.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, possess a strong understanding of the role and values of the Trade Union Movement and social justice, have excellent communications and writing skills, demonstrate strong knowledge of updating and monitoring websites and social media, and exhibit good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Salary: The position carries a salary in line with the Assistant Principal Officer grade of the Civil Service in the Republic of Ireland, the point of scale will be commensurate with experience.
