Overview The corporate communications team creates communication in alignment with company brand to activate audience support of company goals and preserve company culture and reputation. The Communications Specialist creates internal communications and manages a variety of channels and platforms in alignment with organisational goals and priorities. Position: Communications Specialist Reporting to: Manager, Communications Managament Responsibilities Responsibilities: Draft messaging and communications content and plans for internal teams and functions and ensure that the company's purpose, values and culture are integrated consistently. Understand key employee and stakeholder groups and perspectives, incorporate into communications messaging. Route communications pieces for approval. Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments. Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects or assignments. Strictly adhere to safety requirements. Maintain company quality and quantity standards. Follow Cook Medical's ethic and compliance guidelines in carrying out the role. Ensure that Cook's Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook's behalf. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field. 2-3 years relevant work experience. Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, leadership and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe creative products preferred. Ability to work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organisation. About Cook Limerick Cook Medical has been in Limerick since 1996, starting out with labeling and distribution and steadily growing and evolving to include manufacturing, centralised customer support and on to collaborative product development in the Innovation Centre. The Ireland location is our European headquarters and houses our EMEA Support Centre. This location currently employs more than 1000 people and manufactures 10% of Cook's products for global markets.
