Cork University Hospital (CUH) is a public hospital owned and managed by the Health Service Executive (HSE) and is a member of the South/South West Hospital Group.
Cork University Hospital also forms part of the Cork University Hospitals Group (CUHG) which includes Mallow General Hospital and Bantry General Hospital.
DescriptionSuccessful candidates will be required to commence on Monday 14th July 2025. The Clinical Epilepsy Fellow post was established in CUH in 2014.
The fellow is involved in all aspects of epilepsy care including weekly clinics (1st seizure and Complex Epilepsy), working in an epilepsy monitoring unit, pre-surgical assessments, interpretation of video-EEG data, outreach epilepsy clinics in residential care settings and participating in epilepsy-orientated research.
The fellow will work closely with trained epileptologists, clinical neurophysiologists and clinical neurologists.
The post is fully assigned to provision of epilepsy care.
Numerous educational opportunities will be offered to the fellow during the year, including participating in VIREPA courses and attendance at epilepsy conferences.
There is no on-call commitment.
Previous fellows have been research active resulting in published peer-reviewed papers and higher degrees.
