Community Nurse

We are currently recruiting for a RGN with Paediatric or ICU background. Should have experience in suctioning, rescue medication, and competency in NG feeds. Experience in working in partnership with families in a home environment is advantageous.
Provision of Homecare Services for a Child with Complex Care Needs: 15.00hrs to 22.00hrs (7 hrs) x 3 days a week. Total 21hrs per week.Based in Lucan, Co. Dublin.This 15-month-old infant has a diagnosis of brittle Dystonia which requires careful management and prompt administration of daily medications and rescue meds.There is also an intensive physio and OT schedule which is essential to manage her dystonic episodes and reduce the incidence of respiratory distress.Nurses must demonstrate that they have the desired competencies to care for the specific child, for example: Medication ManagementSeizure ManagementManagement of Nasogastric FeedingPain ManagementCare of Child with DisabilityIdentification of Dystonia Deterioration and Interventions RequiredManagement of O2 TherapyFor more information please contact me at ******.
