We are currently recruiting for a Community Support Worker Ref: Le.Sa.So-WH01.181124 Specified Purpose Part-Time 80 hours per month Kilcoole & Bray, Co Wicklow We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Community Support Worker to join our day services in Bray & Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow. As a CSW, you will be involved in supporting clients to achieve their personal outcomes to build on their potential and to develop positive roles within their home and in the community. Working hours will be day shifts Monday to Friday.
Applicants must have: One year's post qualification experience of working with adults with intellectual disabilityA knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standardsExperience of working alone in a one to one environment as well as experience of teamworkExperience of dealing with behaviours that challenge and with behavioural supportsCPI experienceExperience of teaching skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence skillsUnderstanding and experience of therapeutic interventionsExperience in alternative communicationsExcellent organisation and communication skillsExperience of creative problem-solving techniquesEnthusiasm, energy and creativityCan deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible mannerExcellent IT and report writing skillsHold a full driving licence and be willing to drive location vehiclesBe flexible to work a variety of rostered shifts over a seven-day work periodTraining in Buccal is preferredRequirement: Applicant must hold a minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care or Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI)
