Company Accountant – Dublin €50,000 per annum (North Dublin) Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our Finance team. We are currently looking for a Company Accountant to join our team in Ireland. Reporting to both the Regional and Group Financial Controller, you will be a strong individual who has the relevant experience to manage all elements of the Finance function from Sales through to month-end reports. There is likely to be a strong focus on change management and system development as the Group looks to standardise its processes.
As a Company Accountant, your key responsibilities would include:
Preparation of weekly/monthly management divisional reportsPreparing all elements of the monthly accounting functionImplement a job costing processFile monthly VAT/PAYE returnsAssisting with the presentation of year-end accounts and aiding the annual auditPreparation of annual budgetsMaintaining sales ledger accounts and customer account information with accuracyWork closely with the clearing agents and help with any queries they haveManaging the company TAN account on ROSImporting invoices from external operations systemEnsuring that all sales orders are invoiced in a timely fashionResolving customer account queries with the customer and Sales Manager in a timely fashionReconciling & managing customer accountsUndertaking regular credit limit and payment terms reviews on customer accountsMonitoring & actively pursuing the ageing of debt and review accounts for any bad debt provisions requiredMonthly bank reconciliations including reviewing and resolving any daily banking mismatches and queriesReconciling supplier statements, employee expenses (VAT claims)Ensuring that all supplier invoices are coded, processed accurately and in a timely fashionPost monthly journals for accruals, prepayments, payrollEnsure speedy issuing of invoicesWorking on project teams to implement process improvements and software upgradesPart of a team to scope and install new software and system improvementsYou will be a self-starter with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in order to develop this newly created role to its full potential. You should have a good working knowledge of Excel. In return, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package including annual bonus and company pension.
