Job Specification:Brokers Ireland is the largest representative body for Insurance & Financial Brokers in Ireland. We are currently looking to recruit a Compliance Assistant to work within our Compliance Unit based in Dublin 2.
Minimum Qualifications: Third Level Qualification. Relevant industry/compliance exams preferable.
Key Attributes: Eager to learn and strong capacity to understand issuesBroad knowledge of the Statutory and Regulatory influences on BI and its membersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills over the phoneDriven, assertive individual with excellent organisation and time management skillsKey Functions of the Role: Answering queries from members on complianceReviewing members' compliance documents and advertising materialCorresponding with Financial Regulator and other bodies regarding members' queriesDrafting and maintaining compliance documentation for membersOrganising sub-committee meetingsWhen required, attending Compliance sub-committee meetings and taking minutesResearching websites for issues that may affect Brokers including in other countriesResearch of legislative issues e.g. new consultation papersResearch for submissionsDrafting of submissionsCarrying out compliance training as requestedAssist the HR Manager with HR matters – offer administration support when requiredLiaise with Providers/Provider Platforms on staff pensionsTerm: This is a 12-month fixed contract, with the option to work from home once agreed with management.
