Compliance Manager - Ireland

Experienced Field Compliance Manager required for multi-national company fresh produce based in North County Dublin.
The successful candidate shall be experienced in Compliance Standards and have a proven track record in the requirements and implementation of GAP industry & retailer standards.
i.e., Global Gap, Nurture, Bord Bia.
The candidate shall ideally be from a Fresh Produce background.
Core Objectives • Working closely with growers to achieve and maintain the required industry and retailer certification levels.
• To frequently visit with growers through the planting, growing and harvest periods to better advise the business on the outlook of the Irish harvest.
• To ensure that a schedule of routine visits and audits is in place, and these are documented and communicated.
Supporting local growers in the achievement and maintenance of industry and retailer standards.
This will entail: * External audit preparation, including process review and implementation of all improvements needed.
* A schedule of Internal auditing to establish ongoing compliance to the required standard.
* Regular grower visits to ensure compliance to the standards is maintained throughout the season and any issues/complaints are thoroughly investigated and the root cause identified and closed out.
* Crop walks (frequency based on an agreed risk assessment and any immediate needs) and weekly reporting on the status of the Irish crop.
* To be the main point to contact within Ireland on 3rd party certification changes, best practices, and industry news.
The candidate will attend regular training updates and attend industry events/forums to achieve this aim.
Key Competences • The candidate shall ideally be from a Fresh Produce background.
• Proven experience in the implementation of industry & retailer GAP standards, i.e.
GLOBALG.A.P , NURTURE, etc.
• Must be a strong communicator with excellent influencing and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The candidate shall have a clean driving license.
