Compliance Officer wanted for Global Insurance/Reinsurance Company - South Dublin Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join our client, an International Insurance Company headquartered out of Dublin. Our client is a medium to high level business and they are looking for a compliance professional with strong experience dealing with the regulator.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a Compliance function within Insurance or Financial Services and have worked closely with the Central Bank. You will report directly into the Head of Compliance and play an important role within the business as they move to a higher PRISM rating.
This role is 2 days a week in the office and comes with an excellent package including full health and dental, pension, bonus and much more. Your Role: Compliance Risk Monitoring: Continuously review and track existing and emerging compliance risks, ensuring the risk management process is effective and controls are efficient.Privacy Assessments: Provide input on privacy assessments, identifying privacy risks in new and existing products, systems, and processes. Maintain the local data processing register and support information and record-keeping obligations.Coordination with Group Offices: Work closely with the Group Compliance Office and Group Privacy Office to improve compliance and privacy functions. Collaborate with the company's first line.Regulatory Compliance: Monitor compliance with regulations in each country where the company operates. Provide compliance guidance for cross-border business.Compliance Framework Implementation: Help design and implement the Compliance Framework. Periodically review and update compliance policies and procedures as required.Compliance Monitoring: Maintain and execute the company's Compliance and Privacy Monitoring Plan. Conduct compliance testing and monitoring as needed.Reporting and Communication: Prepare compliance reports for various internal committees. Liaise with external advisors on regulatory, privacy, and compliance matters.Compliance and Privacy Training: Assist in creating and delivering compliance and privacy training sessions for the company's staff. Conduct training sessions and raise awareness about compliance and privacy topics.Documentation and Policy Revision: Revise the company's Compliance Manual and update compliance policies as necessary.Additional Responsibilities: Attend required IT Security and company-specific training sessions. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Head of Compliance.Your Skills: At least 3 years' experience in a financial services environment, ideally in compliance, privacy, legal, or risk assurance.Third-level qualification in a relevant field such as finance, compliance, or law.Strong organisational skills, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, as part of a team, or cross-functionally.Comfortable creating presentations for board and senior management.Excellent analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commercial mindset.Exceptional report writing and attention to detail.Proficient time management, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise and multitask within tight deadlines.Should this position be of interest to you please contact Tadhg in Abrivia Recruitment.
