One of our requirements is for an Ophthalmologist with an interest and expertise in managing macular disease. Accordingly, we welcome interest from both medical ophthalmologists who manage macular disease (intravitreal therapy, retinal laser therapy) and surgical ophthalmologists who manage both macular disease and perform cataract surgery. We are also interested in other subspeciality areas that might add to or compliment the existing range of Ophthalmology services. Bon Secours Hospital Corkis Irelands largest private hospital. Established in 1915, the Hospital has 344 beds, employs over 1,000 staff and cares for more than 100,000 patients per annum. It is an acute general hospital providing an extensive range of medical and surgical specialities for both adults and children including Oncology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, General Surgery and Radiotherapy Services. Bon Secours Hospital Cork is a teaching hospital attached to the School of Medicine, University College Cork, making a significant contribution to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health professions.
