We are hiring a Consultant Psychiatrist for a leading Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) Responsibilities Take part in creating and carrying out all tasks and responsibilities relevant to the Consultant's area of expertise and in compliance with the guidelines that the Clinical Director specifies.
Ensure favorable patient and resident outcomes while maintaining a constant pursuit of excellence.
Participate in creating and carrying out all tasks and responsibilities relevant to the Consultant's area of expertise in compliance with the guidelines that the Clinical Director specifies.
Together with the Clinical Director, support the creation and implementation of operational and strategic plans by working cooperatively.
Inform the clinical director of the demands and priorities in the clinic and take an active part in talks about strategic development.
Ensure favorable patient and resident outcomes while maintaining a constant pursuit of excellence.
Make sure that the mechanisms are in place to provide all legally required information in a timely and accurate manner, including those related to data protection and freedom of information.
Engage in clinical information systems that give staff members the ability to benchmark and audit their practices in order to enhance the patient and resident experience.
Keep in constant contact with every member of the center's staff.
Assist in the preservation of expert clinical proficiency.
Encourage an inclusive and transparent workplace culture that builds strong bonds.
Take part in the performance management program offered by the Hospital.
Requirements Supervise the clinical team members under complete enrolment in the Medical Council of Ireland's Specialist Register (Psychiatrist) of Medical Practitioners, or eligibility to do so.
Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry as a subspeciality would be desirable, along with registration as a general adult psychiatrist.
Possess a managerial role or a position with more authority in their field of therapeutic expertise.
Show that you have extensive clinical experience managing a group of varied medical professionals and a deep understanding of the principles and practices of clinical governance.
Strong capacity for managing, instructing, and participating in the practice and education of nurses, medical staff, and other allied health professions, as well as for promoting and participating in the mentoring, training, and support of others as needed.
