Consumer Protection Analyst – Contract Our clients, a state body, are looking to recruit a Consumer Protection Analyst. This is a Contract role, with an excellent opportunity to join a progressive agency.

The successful candidate will be an excellent project manager, with superb analytical and drafting skills.

The Role: Ensuring information on consumer rights is available. Ensuring information on redress options is available to consumers should things go wrong, liaising with the Consumer Engagement team as needed, and assisting with consumer-related matters for future legislation. Ensuring the interests of consumers are protected in accordance with legislative requirements, including service terms and conditions, service provider codes of practice, and alternative dispute resolution processes. Establishing cooperative relationships with other national consumer authorities responsible for consumer protection legislation. Providing consumer communications and information to help them make informed decisions, including information on product and service offerings. Researching consumer feedback, including conducting consumer satisfaction surveys through formal and informal evaluations. Monitoring compliance of authorized service providers with relevant obligations. The Person: Qualification in policy or business and/or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in assessing and developing consumer policy (preferably in a service environment) and the ability to assimilate information from complex legislation, policies, or reports to provide clear and practical solutions. Confident and articulate, with the ability to communicate complex information simply and respectfully. Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to prepare briefings, reports, and documents in a rational, evidence-based, clear, and concise manner. Experience in a multidisciplinary project team environment in an organization with a strong culture of delivery. Proven ability to manage small to medium-sized projects to successful outcomes. Ability to work on own initiative and in a multidisciplinary project team environment alongside professionals such as economists, lawyers, analysts, engineers, and accountants.
