ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: The Content Editor, Ecommerce will be responsible for process optimization and improvement, copywriting, people management, and project management.
The successful candidate will manage a small team of copywriters who require writing feedback, dynamic prioritisation, and process creation.
Based in Ireland, the Content Editor will partner closely with The Knot's Merchandising team to streamline, optimise, and maximise copy creation.
They'll be comfortable working with an experienced independent team and have a copywriting or editorial background with a skillset geared toward process organisation and improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This role will specialise in the following areas: * Assessing and optimising the product copy process to increase output * Managing a team of copywriters, providing them with consistent feedback and support * Capacity planning to set the team up for success and enable us to hit our goals * Collaborating with the merchandising team, integrating processes and aligning on goals * Tracking and reporting on all output for posterity * Top-editing content for quality assurance and providing empowering writer feedback * Ensuring the delivery of product copy to deadlines and adjusting to mutable priorities * Optimising copy in line with SEO, competitor research, and merchandising best practices * Extending the product copy reach across The Knot's Ecommerce space where necessary and relevant SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, English, or a related field * 3-Years experience in relevant experience (editing, copywriting, content generation) * Experience in process optimization and improvement * Expert writing and editing skills * Experience utilising AI is a plus * People management and project management experience * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Strong organisational skills * Familiarity with writing and optimising content for SEO * Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively * An aptitude for leadership
