About this position: As a Content Strategist at GeistM, you will be instrumental in overseeing freelance writers and content production for several publisher sites, such as Popdust and Trueself.
This role involves collaborating closely with the Editorial Director to plan content calendars, contributing written articles on trending topics, and developing strategies to enhance organic traffic and affiliate revenue.
Responsibilities and Duties: Oversee a team of freelance writers, ensuring timely and quality content production.Work closely with the Editorial Director to plan and execute content calendars for several publisher sites.Write 4-5 content pieces per week, focusing on trending topics and evergreen content.Develop and execute content strategies aimed at improving organic traffic and affiliate revenue.Monitor content performance using Google Analytics 4 and other analytical tools.Ensure all content is optimized for SEO and adheres to the latest on-page SEO practices.Stay abreast of breaking news and trending topics in the entertainment industry and beyond.Handle content planning across diverse topics, from pop culture to finance.Collaborate with the brand team to determine which articles to publish and repurpose on social media.Network with industry reps and PR teams for exclusive content.Regular reporting of content performance and key learnings.Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in content marketing.1-2 years of experience in affiliate marketing.Proven track record of creating engaging content (portfolio required).Strong ideation and brainstorming skills with a deep understanding of creating content that resonates with different audiences.A keen trendspotter with a passion for current trends, pop culture, and digital strategies.Impeccable writing skills, with the ability to produce engaging and accurate content.Excellent editing skills, ensuring clarity and adherence to style guidelines.Proven ability to stay on the pulse of breaking news and trending topics, particularly in the entertainment industry.Knowledge of SEO, especially on-page tactics.Good understanding of content KPIs and web traffic metrics.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.B.A.
