Contracts Manager

My client, a Leading Tier 2 Main Contractor,is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with housing experience to join their team in Laois. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on award-winning, multi-million-euro projects with a prestigious main contractor. Responsibilities: Lead and manage site teams, including Project Managers and Site Managers, to ensure works are progressing as planned. Implement and enforce all company health and safety procedures. Ensure project completion within the time frames specified in the construction programme. Review and understand all drawings and specifications, and communicate any errors or omissions to the design team in a timely manner. Review designs and make recommendations on buildability and cost savings while maintaining quality and improving margin. Oversee the timely flow of information from the design team and ensure all issues are addressed by the site team. Work closely with the Construction Director to meet and exceed business objectives Manage project finances in collaboration with project QSs to exceed budget targets. Maintain cost-effectiveness through efficient resource use. Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and good building practices. Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations. Report to Directors with monthly progress updates on the programme. Requirements: Engineering or construction management qualification with 5-7 years experience in a similar role. Proven team management and leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff. In-depth knowledge of building details and construction technology. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and MS Project. Experience with Procore is helpful.
