Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer Athlone, Westmeath, Ireland €90,000 Hybrid working eligible Scope: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a global, world renowned company.
The role will see you responsible for the development and commissioning of automation and control systems as well as automation and control systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing.
Working closely with the Senior Project Engineers, this role will allow growth and development for the right individual.
Responsibilities: Overseeing the specification, development, installation, and validation of automation projects, focusing on control systems.
Leading project team discussions, provide technical support, and make informed decisions regarding hardware and architecture selection.
Collaborating with OEM teams to design, develop, and test PLC code in compliance with site coding standards.
Working closely with OEM and project teams to fine-tune PLC code during the testing and development phases, conducting system testing and troubleshooting to resolve issues or bugs.
Developing and test various aspects of automation systems, including robotics, vision, PLC, HMI/SCADA, and Motion Control.
Ensuring the completion of control-related aspects of projects within the allotted schedule and budget.
