Amazon's Controls Deployment and Service (CDS) Systems Engineers are responsible for the scaling and maintenance of the Amazon Control Systems across our global data center infrastructure. As a Systems Engineer in the APAC CDS team, you will play a critical role in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting the various components that make up the Control Systems architecture. This includes configuring device settings, diagnosing technical issues, deploying software changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful operation of Amazon Control Systems across our data centers. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of Amazon Control Systems support practices. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leveraging your strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities to keep our critical infrastructure running smoothly.

Minimum RequirementsUnix/Linux systems administration: Experience in administering and troubleshooting Linux/Unix-based systems, including experience with scripting and automation using tools like ps, grep, etc.Programming: Experience in programming languages, preferably Python and shell scripting.Systems troubleshooting and problem-solving: Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting networking, application programming interfaces (APIs), or diagnostic logs.Collaborative working style: Demonstrated skills in cross-functional collaboration with diverse teams, with the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent requests to achieve project goals.Critical environments experience: data centers (preferred) or other critical environments (defense, pharmaceutical, hospitals, research laboratories, oil and gas).Electrical or mechanical controls systems experience.Controls construction or service experience, in system architecture design or system installation.Education qualification in Computer Science, Software, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.Project management certification.
