Our Core Platform Test team is responsible for test content development, automation and commercialization of key software drivers that enable critical platform level requirements across the spectrum of industry leading Snapdragon SoC enabled products.
You will join a multi-disciplinary test team responsible for technologies including USB, PMIC, PCIe, Hypervisor, Boot, Clocks and Storage. This role will involve balancing some hands-on testing and leveraging that knowledge to build sophisticated automated test systems that can fan out to meet the test requirements across all stages of SW delivery. Flexibility in work assignments and thoroughness in project management are crucial. You will be a strong communicator and an effective team player.
Education Requirements: Masters or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.4+ Years of test/automation development or related experience preferred.What are we looking for? Strong C/C++/Java/Python programming skills.Experience in System Software and/or low-level Firmware validation.Solid knowledge on SW Quality, ARM architecture, Linux, RTOS programming.Strong understanding of test methodology.Good understanding of the software development cycle.Proven experience in test automation development, source code management, continuous integration, and script programming, test framework development.Experience with designing and developing multi-process and multi-threaded applications.Outstanding problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and team working skills.Should be able to optimize & effectively manage time.Responsibilities will include: Gather requirements and develop test strategies.Interface with cross-functional teams to review the test plans, gather information for test development and automation.Debug test failures and collaborate with teams on issue isolation and resolution.Work with other cross-functional technology teams to leverage common test methods and frameworks.Actively study OEM experience and requirements to improve test solutions across products.Independently deliver good quality output on assigned tasks with some supervision.Using verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.Exercising some creativity to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.Limited data analysis may be required.Where you will be working Cork has a proud reputation as Ireland's second largest economic engine and is now one of the Top 20 location choices in Europe with 39,000 people being employed by over 170 overseas companies.
