Our client is a leading global company based in Dublin.
With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, they continue to expand their operations across the globe.
To support their dynamic finance team, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant specialising in cost accounting and supply chain management.
You will play a pivotal role in optimising their cost accounting processes and enhancing the efficiency of their supply chain operations.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights, implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensure compliance with international accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities: Cost Accounting:Conduct in-depth analysis of cost structures and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems and procedures.Provide regular reports and insights on cost variances, trends, and key performance indicators.Supply Chain Management:Collaborate with supply chain teams to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favourable terms to optimize procurement costs.Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.Financial Planning and Analysis:Work closely with finance teams to develop accurate financial forecasts and budgets.Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making processes.Conduct scenario analyses to assess the impact of various financial and operational strategies.Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.Qualifications: Qualified AccountantProven experience in cost accounting and supply chain management, preferably in a multinational environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally SAP but not a pre requisite, and advanced Excel skills.
