Counter Assistant

Job Title: Counter Assistant Location: Donovan's Butchers, Dublin 22 Job Hours: 8 am- 6pm (5 days a week) About Us: Donovan's Butchers, a well-established and respected butcher shop in Dublin 22, is seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team.
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality meats and excellent customer service to our local community.
We would also consider applications for a counter hand.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cut, and package meat products to the highest standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety regulations.
Provide expert advice to customers on meat selection, cooking techniques, and preparation.
Manage inventory, including ordering and stock control.
Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Serve customers at the meat counter, providing friendly and efficient service.
Assist customers with their purchases, offering advice on meat cuts and quantities Requirements: Proven experience as a butcher in a retail environment.
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not essential.
Strong knowledge of different meat cuts and butchering techniques.
Ideally looking for someone living in the Dublin area.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Strong English communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Assist with general shop duties as needed, including cleaning and stocking shelves Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
Friendly, approachable, and willing to learn.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
