Country Manager

Our client is seeking a Country Manager. This role reports to the CEO and is part of the Senior Management Team.
Responsibilities: Set out the strategic vision and plan with delivery of same for the gardencare business on the IOI in line with company objectives and ambition.Own the responsibility of business development, profitability, and growth.Lead and coach the Area Managers with clarity, direction, and momentum to achieve the strategic objectives of the business.Set out annual budgets on revenues and gross margin with delivery on same.Be a capable and conscientious self-starter who is task and results-oriented with sound business awareness and an ability to assess what is important to the business and will deliver results.Identify new customer and sales channel opportunities.Demonstrate credible business presence and excellent negotiation skills for meeting and working through trading issues.Develop strong commercial relationships with all customers.Work closely with the Marketing Manager to execute the annual gardencare marketing plans.Collaborate with the Technical Director and wider team to identify new product opportunities that meet consumer needs and category growth objectives.Be a key member of the innovation team.Utilize an analytical and fact-based approach to business building.Exhibit excellent presentation skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Numeric skills for data analysis are essential.Be organized and a good administrator to balance the different aspects of the role.Show drive and ambition with the desire and ability to make a significant contribution.Be balanced in judgement, factual, and capable of acting decisively and confidently to make the right decisions.Be responsible, clear, respectful, and a good listener and communicator.Enjoy the process while delivering results.Experience: 5 years of senior commercial experience, preferably in the horticultural, garden centre, or FMCG sector.Business degree.Demonstrable achievements in career to date.Proven evidence of building a business in a changing and challenging environment.Driving license.
