About the role My clients finance team work with every element of the business, building strong relationships with both internal and external business partners.
They focus on implementing best practice and provide meaningful management information which inform business strategy decisions.

What you will be doing Roles and responsibilities include: ?Overseeing the Sales and Purchase Ledgers on Xero Accounts Package ?Weekly Supplier Payments ?Weekly bank reconciliations ?Bi-weekly Credit Card reconciliations and Monthly Petty Cash reconciliations ?Preparation of quarterly VAT returns ?Assisting Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly management accounts and management reports ?Preparation of Margin Analysis by product and client ?Assisting Financial Controller in the preparation of forecasts and budgets ?Preparing Ad Hoc Finance reports for Financial Controller ?Preparing Monthly Payroll and Payroll Processing ?Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations ?Liaising with key suppliers ?Preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments and fixed assets schedules ?Completion of Statutory Government returns ?Managing monthly staff expenses process ?Working closely with the Group Financial Controller on all key financial aspects of reporting within the business ?Managing variable pay schemes including scheme administration for joiners / movers / leavers, calculation and payment ?Project based work, including: ?Working with stakeholders across the business to research and deliver answers to finance-based queries.
For example, product pricing analysis, business unit profitability analysis, revenue forecasting, budget setting, sales analysis, etc.
?Analysing and improving finance-related workflows across the business including sales order to invoice processing Requirements The successful candidate will demonstrate: ?A proven track record: You will have a minimum of 2-5 years experience in a busy finance or accounting function, and be qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification).
?Accounting expertise: You will be capable and experienced in completing full Financial or Management Accounts.
You will have experience in month end tasks such as balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and monthly variance analysis.
?Communication skills: You will have the confidence and skill to facilitate broad-ranging conversations with people across the business and with external customers (face to face, telephone and digital communications) ?Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail: You will work with a high degree of accuracy and effectively plan to ensure that tasks are actioned and followed up to ensure completion ?Numerical and analytical skills: You will enjoy working with numbers and will have an analytical mindset ?Commercial acumen:You will be interested in understanding the business and be commercially aware, with knowledge of sales forecasting, commission schemes and revenue recognition policies.
