Deputy Interface Manager Energy Sector In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Engineering & Interface Manager to oversee various activities, ensuring seamless project delivery within set timelines and budget constraints.
Join the Chief Infrastructure Office (CIO) team, a group of highly skilled professionals blending engineering and business expertise.
They spearhead the power system and interconnection investment programs, working closely with partners, customers, and communities.
Under the Project Delivery Function, a pivotal role is played in the planning and execution of the Interconnector Project.
This initiative facilitates the exchange of 700 MW of electricity between Ireland and Europe, spanning a remarkable 575km.
Notably, 500km of the cable is laid beneath the sea, showcasing the project's scale and complexity.
Upon completion, this interconnector will have the capacity to power 450,000 homes, underscoring its significant impact on energy distribution.
Key Responsibilities: *Serve as the primary point of contact for internal project interface coordination, managing interface management plans, processes, and reporting.
*Collaborate with Works Package Managers and Technical Leads to address complex design and physical interface issues throughout project phases.
*Coordinate with project schedulers to integrate Interface Milestones into EPC Contractor schedules, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
*Develop reporting systems and performance metrics to monitor interface milestone progress effectively.
*Support the Engineering & Interface Manager in overseeing external consultants, internal support functions, deliverables, and dependencies Successful candidates will have: *Relevant degree or equivalent qualification with 6+ years relevant experience working in a regulated environment, ideally the energy sector.
*Experience working with commercial contracts and a strong understanding of the technical, commercial and legal aspects of the contracts.
*Experience in dealing with customers/ third parties on a contractual basis.
*A strong track record of project management and delivery.
*Broad understanding of the complex technical and commercial aspects of the power industry, customers and key industry stakeholders.
*Strong communicator, able to understand and articulate technical and / or commercial concepts to non-technical audiences and business leaders.
*Strong ability to lead, persuade and influence others to move towards a common vision or goal and to work collaboratively with and through others through developed skills of communication and diplomacy.
*Proven track history of maintaining deadlines in a dynamic environment.
