Management Accountant Are you a seasoned management accountant seeking your next challenge?
My client an established company in Cork, at the forefront of the industry, is looking for an experienced management accountant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to manage the accounts function in a dynamic and thriving environment.
About the Role As a Management Accountant, you will take full ownership of the daily operations within the accounts department, ensuring accurate financial management and compliance with all relevant regulations.
This role is pivotal to supporting the company's continued growth and success, offering a varied and rewarding workload.
Key Responsibilities Bank and Cash Management: Daily review of bank statements, preparation of monthly reconciliations, and management of petty cash.
Accounts Payable: Process and reconcile purchase invoices, manage supplier payments, and maintain accurate creditor records.
Accounts Receivable: Oversee sales invoicing, manage customer accounts, and follow up on overdue payments.
VAT Compliance: Prepare and file bi-monthly VAT returns, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation.
Payroll Management: Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll using specialized software, ensuring compliance with PAYE/PRSI regulations.
Stock Adjustments: Monitor and post stock adjustments monthly, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger.
Management Accounts: Prepare draft year-end accounts, liaise with external accountants, and ensure accurate final adjustments are recorded.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPAqualified accountant with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software, such as Exchequer, SAP, NetSuite.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, VAT compliance, and payroll processing.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
