We are currently seeking a self-motivated and organized Creative Designer to join our expanding retail media team at Dunnes Stores. This role is based in our Head Office in Dublin city centre.
The Role: The Creative Designer will focus on enhancing our creative output and maximizing every conceptual opportunity we encounter. As a creative storyteller, you'll recognize the significance of placing a strong idea at the heart of every project. While a background in art direction or design is beneficial, what truly matters is your experience in generating ideas. At Dunnes Stores, you'll contribute to delivering thoughtful and visually striking concepts across various consumer touchpoints including in-store displays, out-of-home advertising, print, and social media. You will excel at transforming strategic and brand visions into exceptional creative solutions. Since our retail media offerings are still in development, you'll need to embrace both exploration and entrepreneurial thinking.
Key Responsibilities: Leading the creative aspects of the retail media network, conceptualizing, designing, and delivering exceptional solutions for Dunnes Stores and retail media clients. Collaborating closely with various departments and stakeholders to achieve outstanding creative outcomes. Involvement in projects from the initial concept phase, producing scamps, to final mock-ups. Creating, art directing, and writing effective concepts that adhere to briefs, timelines, and budgets. Thinking strategically to translate business challenges and brand visions into high-quality creative proposals. Presenting your ideas clearly, guiding others through your thought process, and demonstrating how your concepts meet the brief. Making informed marketing decisions that strengthen customer connections – embracing the principle of "less is more". Demonstrating empathy and a strong market orientation to better understand customer and shopper needs. Qualifications and Experience Experience as a Creative Designer or an Art Director, in a dynamic marketing, digital, or media agency, or a similar setting. A portfolio showcasing a range of conceptual work across multiple media channels, developed for both agencies and brands. The ability to think about both visuals and messaging when generating creative ideas. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively. A self-motivated approach while thriving in a collaborative team environment. A commitment to creative excellence, ensuring high-quality work regardless of project scale or budget. Confidence as a communicator, with the ability to present and articulate your work to both internal and external audiences. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Comfort in producing scamps and mood boards to convey ideas, as well as polished Mac visuals. Good organizational and administrative skills. The ability to work efficiently across multiple projects and topics. A keen interest in the latest design innovations and creative technology.
