Credit Analyst, Syndicated & International Finance, DublinRole: Credit Analyst - Syndicated & International Finance Location: Dawson Street, Dublin 2 (with Hybrid Working)
This role is being offered on a permanent basis.
About the Role: The Syndicated & International Finance Team ("SIF") is a key business within AIB Capital Markets and has a mandate to grow AIB's presence in the leveraged finance, syndicated corporate debt and structured credit markets. The team provides finance in support of transactions including leveraged buyouts, mergers & acquisitions and other significant corporate events, as well as investing in securitisations and corporate bonds.
SIF is currently seeking new analysts to join the team to originate new transactions and to manage our existing portfolio.
We are looking for people who have a strong analytical mindset, an appetite to learn, an ability to apply a variety of skills in a fast-paced & dynamic setting and a keen interest in credit, investments & financial markets.
Key Responsibilities Include: Working with senior team members on transaction proposals including investment analysis, internal approval process and investment execution;Performing fundamental analysis on potential opportunities, to include qualitative and quantitative due diligence and appropriate financial analysis and stress testing;Preparing and presenting comprehensive credit applications for investment approval;Undertaking day-to-day management of existing transactions in the portfolio;Participating in meetings & conference calls with borrowers and market participants to facilitate initial due diligence, ongoing investment monitoring and general market intelligence;Developing and maintaining good relationships with internal business partners and external market participants;Proactively monitoring of the portfolio including timely review of financial/performance reports and market trends/research that may impact the portfolio.What you will bring: Prior experience in financial/credit analysis, with experience in leveraged finance, structured finance, corporate or property lending an advantage, but not a pre-requisite;Strong numerical reasoning and report writing skills;Good interpersonal and communication skills;Relevant university, postgraduate qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional body (latter is helpful but not essential).Life at AIB At AIB, we have a clear purpose - Empowering people to build a sustainable future.
