Our client is based in Tallaght Dublin 24 and is currently recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Credit Manager to join their team in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the credit control process, ensuring effective management of customer accounts, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires broad accounts experience, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to work efficiently with large volumes of rapidly changing data.

Salary is €50 – €55k pa DOE, plus pension. This role is office-based and has very flexible start and finish times (7am – 3pm / 8am – 4 / 9am -5pm / 10am – 6pm)

DUTIES OF THE ROLE Credit Control: Manage the credit approval process, reviewing customer credit applications, setting credit limits, and ensuring adherence to company credit policies. Monitor accounts receivable and manage collections to minimize overdue debts. Identify and mitigate credit risks, escalating where necessary to senior management. Accounts Management: Reconcile customer accounts and ensure prompt resolution of discrepancies. Maintain an up-to-date and accurate accounts receivable ledger, tracking aged debtors. Data Management: Handle large volumes of changing data and ensure accurate, timely reporting on customer accounts. Analyse and interpret financial data to provide insights and make recommendations for improving cash flow. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with customers to resolve queries and negotiate payment terms. Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and credit risk management. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on credit status, aged debt, and cash flow forecasts. Provide management with timely insights and updates on credit-related issues. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management or accounts within an FMCG or similar fast-paced environment. Proven ability to handle large datasets and manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Strong financial acumen with excellent understanding of credit control and risk management. Highly proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills. Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure in a busy, dynamic environment.
