Job Role: CSA Quantity Surveyor (Pre-Construction)

They offer end-to-end services, from initial design to full-scale construction, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning services.
As a leader in the data centre sector, our client has established itself as a trusted partner, with an exclusive focus on delivering complex data centre projects throughout Europe.
Currently, they are managing multiple data centre projects in seven European countries, and have an immediate requirement for a CSA Quantity Surveyor
The Estimating Department, overseen by the Estimation & Proposals Lead, is divided into three main areas: Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA), Mechanical, and Electrical.
This role is based in the Ballymount office.
Reporting to: Estimation & Proposals Lead Responsibilities: Prepare detailed estimates and pre-construction budgets using drawings and specifications. Manage quantity take-offs and prepare pricing documents. Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers across Ireland and Europe. Utilize spreadsheets to compare bids and quotations, justifying subcontractor selection. Assist in maintaining the cost database and regional pricing metrics. Present estimates to the CSA Estimating Lead and Board of Directors when required. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers. Stay updated on construction industry trends and developments. Contribute to improving quality control standards within the Pre-Con, Estimating & Proposals Department. Comply with quality assurance procedures. Engage in personal development planning and participate in performance reviews. Undertake additional duties as assigned by management. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information encountered during employment, particularly sensitive data from clients or third parties. Ensure high-quality production of subcontractor tender documentation and tender submissions. Uphold the company's commitment to safety standards. Identify and assess potential risks on projects. Requirements: Background in Quantity Surveying or Estimating with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in pre-construction is preferred. A third-level degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field. Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with experience using QS BQ production software like Buildsoft or CostX. Valid Safe Pass card. Full Irish Driving Licence.
