Cullet Process Engineer

Cullet Processing Engineer The position involves working within the office in Dublin with extensive travel to visit Ardagh facilities, cullet supplier premises and cullet equipment suppliers Reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer AGP, the duties will include but are not limited to: Drive efficiency improvements in the cullet supply base that is used by the business.
Continuously work on projects that either lower the cost of processing cullet, increase the yield or improve the quality of processed cullet.
Determine the optimum cullet plant for each supplier and undertake a gap analysis between the current set up and the desired state.
Where deemed necessary, provide support and recommendations to cullet suppliers to maximise quality, yield and performance given the collection systems in use.
Work closely with Ardagh plants to manage the demand and usage levels to optimise the operational and commercial position.
For facilities where Ardagh has an ownership, provide technical and operational support where required and provide operational insight into the financial performance of the plants.
Together with Cullet Quality Manager, continuously work to bring cullet closer to a virgin material in terms of specifications for any type of deleterious contaminants.
Provide project management leadership for non-cullet related projects as and when required by the Chief Sustainability Officer.
Validate new technologies in cullet processing and drive implementation in vendor base Support the Supplier quality manager to complete audits of cullet suppliers and Ardagh cullet tests cells as and when required.
Support the assessment of potential suppliers of cullet for technical and cullet processing capabilities.
