Scope of Role To support brokerage requests, validate documents provided, entry into CargoWise/CustomsWare, submission of declarations to customs, resolve issues, keep customers informed and bill services according to agreed rates. Reports to

Days & Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 9.00 – 17.30, based on 36.25-hour week
Role Profiler: CDZ Manager
Key Accountabilities Receive and acknowledge customer/agent request for customs brokerage servicesEnsure that the correct/complete documentation and detail has been provided. If not, work with customs/agent to secure the necessary information in a timely mannerManage shared mailboxes as assignedEnsure all brokerage activity is entered into CargoWise to support billing and reporting requirementsTransit customs declaration requests from CargoWise to CustomsWare and complete further necessary customs informationSubmit declaration to customs and promptly address any response errors from AES or AISWork with and monitor GSC activity to ensure prompt service deliveryEnsure customer/agent is advised of clearance detail as soon as possible and in line with established service level agreementsComplete and submit Transit documents to cover landbridge movementsExecute billing in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure all records documents are kept and available for auditEnsure all tasks are completed in line with Company policies and guidelines and that Regulatory compliance is accorded the highest priorityGenerate and distribute reports as requiredKeep customers informed of progress on their declarations especially if subject to delay or if established SLAs are to be missedManage priorities, monitor progress, and ensure follow up is completedWork effectively within a team to accomplish objectives within DHLTake action to ensure objectives are met or exceeded and escalate appropriately when necessaryEnsure operational compliance to all revenue and international trade legislative requirements, and all requirements under Data Protection Legislation in addition to all DGF IE policies and procedures (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR, etc), and work in a manner that supports the Company environment programmeRelationships with Others Communicates in an open and honest mannerTreats others with respect, develops trust and values diversityDemonstrates sensitivity to diversity, i.e., culture, gender, age, religion, race disabilityDevelops effective relationships with employees, peers, and managersConfidence in dealing with all levels in the business over the telephone and also on a face-to-face basisAbility to remain calm when dealing with difficult peopleGood listening skills and ability to respond in a clear, respectful mannerTeamwork Commitment to fulfilling their role in a teamSupportive approach to other team membersShares information, knowledge, ideas, and experience freely with othersCommits to team decisions and contributes to building a team spiritWorks collaboratively with others to achieve team or business objectivesEstablishes acceptable levels of quality and quantity of work;
