My client are a rapidly growing 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) distribution company based in Dublin, known for delivering exceptional logistics solutions to clients across various industries.
They are looking for a motivated and experienced Customs Supervisor to lead their customs team and ensure compliance with all customs regulations.
Responsibilities: Oversee the daily activities of the customs team to ensure smooth and efficient handling of import and export processes.
Ensure all customs declarations, documentation, and procedures comply with current regulations and legislation.
Train, mentor, and develop the customs team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Act as the main point of contact for customs authorities, brokers, and other external stakeholders, resolving any issues that arise.
Prepare and present regular reports on customs activities, trends, and compliance status to senior management.
Identify opportunities to enhance customs procedures and implement new strategies to optimize operations and reduce costs.
Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring all records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
Stay current with changes in customs laws and regulations, providing guidance and training to the team as needed.
Requirements: At least 3-5 years of experience in customs clearance, brokerage, or a similar role, preferably within a 3PL or logistics environment.
In-depth understanding of customs regulations, import/export processes, and international trade compliance.
Proven experience in supervising and managing a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
Familiarity with customs software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
A relevant qualification in supply chain, logistics, or international trade would be advantageous.
