Cyber Security Engineer - Dublin

The successful candidate will join our Technical Services team, where they will be responsible for supporting and implementing Network security solutions and services for our clients.
This role requires proficiency with industry-leading technology, specifically a Check Point certification ideally at CCSE level. Experience with other vendors such as Fortinet, CrowdStrike, and Palo Alto is highly desirable.
This is a remote position, with occasional travel to Leeds and client sites as necessary.
Key Responsibilities: Perform technical investigation utilizing a proactive approach to customer network security management in a range of network security solutions.Configure and maintain existing deployed security solutions to a high level.Take ownership of support requests from customers seeing through to resolution.Delivery of proactive services, leading the customer into making better security decisions.Perform a good level of troubleshooting across a range of vendor products to resolve customer issues.Be familiar with key vendor technologies and strategies such as redundancy, availability, packet acceleration, load sharing, VPN, disaster recovery.Perform minor and major version upgrades across a range of key vendors.Essential Skills and Experience: Experience in security or networking.Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems advantageous.Self-motivation to learn, improve, and keep up to date with technologies and concepts within the security industry.Demonstrate confidence and proficiency in both verbal and written communication.Willingness to make and commit to security decisions based on industry best practice.History: Cyber Security Specialists, SEP2 is an organisation providing advanced cyber security services solutions and tech-driven services powered by passionate and honest people.
