Location/Office Policy: Central Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 22 / Hybrid
What is the Role: Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Security Engineering and Operations, these Security Engineering Lead roles will lead teams to protect digital assets as part of the Enterprise Security Engineering and Operations function. The role holders will be responsible for bridging and facilitating the needs of the wider Technology & Business functions to implement security capability, optimise and improve its adoption in an agile manner.
The role holder will help shape the next phase of the Bank's Enterprise Information Security strategy, iteratively improving security capability and aligning our security product choices to north star patterns. They will be part of a team that is fully accountable for operating a portfolio of Security and Resilience technologies, enterprise programs and Security Operations, ensuring they are running optimally to protect the Bank and doing so in alignment with product, technology, and business strategies.
Key accountabilities: Lead a team of Senior Security Engineers and Engineers responsible for delivering enterprise-level Information Security solutions.Support the Enterprise Information Security Leadership team in fostering collaboration and driving the adoption of security and resilience capabilities. Ensure secure and frictionless customer experiences through technology solutions.Partner with external managed service providers and internal teams to optimise relationships and enhance the protection of critical information assets and services.Work closely with Tribes, Platform Teams, Partners, and Infrastructure teams in the Technology & Data functions to deliver integrated solutions.Lead the integration of risk management principles into security by identifying any potential gaps in our posture and implementing appropriate countermeasures balancing security measures against operational efficiencies.5+ years enterprise technology experience, with a proven track record in leading the delivery of Cyber Security technology solutions including problem solving experience within complex, multi partner delivered technology environments.Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues and resolution strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences at senior levels within the bank & with 3rd parties.Detailed understanding of: application, information and Infrastructure technologies; application integration and API technologies; and of best-practices in multi-sourced software development and service management.Knowledge and change experience of the following a distinct advantage: ITIL/SIAM, JIRA, SIEM, Security Analytics, SOAR, API integration, Password Vaulting, Network security devices such as IDS/IPS, Cryptographic systems such as HSM and PKI.Knowledge of information security and risk control frameworks such as COBiT, ISO 27001, ISO 27002 is a bonus.CISSP certification would be a plus (but not essential).Why Work for AIB: We are committed to offering our colleagues choice and flexibility in how we work and live and our hybrid working model enables our people to balance their time between working from home and their designated office, subject to their role, the needs of our customers and business requirements.
