As part of our ambitious plan to increase our development capacity, we are looking for a skilled QA Lead to oversee our quality assurance efforts, ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Define and implement QA processes, best practices and methodologies across all projects.
Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements and timelines.
Identify and prioritise testing efforts based on risk assessment and business impact.
Drive the adoption of automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of automation for web and mobile applications.
Work closely with cross functional teams including designers, developers and business stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stake to better understand the need and quality of delivery.
Experience 5+ years software quality assurance experience with last 2 being in a lead or managerial role.
Proven experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Skills Strong knowledge of testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Robot, Junit) Proficiency in scripting languages (python, JavaScript) for automation.
Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, Azure Dev) and test management tools (TestRail Zephyr) Strong understanding of API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUi.
Some experience with performance testing tools (lighthouse, JMeter, Load runner) and advantage.
Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure services and architecture.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail orientated mindset.
Experience with Git and GitHub workflows.
Familiarity with microservices and event-based architectures, RESTful APIs and containerisation.
Self-motivated with a passion for keeping up with industry trends.
Clear communicator and collaborator with stakeholders and project teams.
Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring.
Formal Education Qualifications Degree/Diploma/Certification in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
Agile/DevOps related certifications such as SCRUM Master, Cloud Foundations, etc., is desirable In this role the person might be required to work additional hours or weekends if required to support the critical phases of project.
