It's a spring calving, grass-based system with a young herd (avg lactation of 1.4) of predominately Frisian & Jersey crossbred cows. The aim is to have cows grazing from February to November. The farm features a 60 HA milking platform with silage out blocks, utilizing a simple system – cows and grass.
