Our Client, an environmental firm, is looking to recruit an experienced Data Analyst for an initial 12-18 month contract to join their Data Team. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in their office in Dublin 24/22.
The Role: Working collaboratively and liaising with various teams to support data analysis requirements, using your experience to help scope and guide reporting requirements. Designing and delivering accurate and timely data reports, and generating meaningful and useful insight from the data. Refinement of existing data repositories to identify issues and enhance data quality. Manual manipulation of data as required to correct data issues. Development of feeds or extracts into other systems to support the needs of the website or other portals. Produce quality documentation to support onward communication to key stakeholders. Proactive data monitoring to identify high-risk stakeholders, escalating your findings to the appropriate internal contacts for further action. Working with the Finance and Fraud teams to review financial analysis indicating non-compliance and reporting on the associated risk. Take ownership of specific issues, managing them to resolution, seeking support where required from across the team. Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive outbound communication to stakeholders to address queries or drive engagement. Development tracking and management of key metrics and KPIs for the team. The Person: Educated to degree level in an appropriate IT, statistics, or data analytics discipline, with a minimum of 2 years working in a data analytics role, developing reports, data analysis, and insights, and driving data quality. Proven track record of analysing large volumes of numerical, financial, and other data, with expertise in identifying trends, patterns, and reporting in a clear and consistent style and format. Experience of operating in an Azure cloud environment and Microsoft 365 is an advantage. Strong Data warehouse knowledge. A background in fraud or compliance analysis would be a distinct advantage. Data analysis: proficient using data analysis tools (ideally Power BI) to analyse large datasets and extract meaningful insights. Proficient in the manipulation, presentation, and reporting of data in Excel and other MS Office tools. Visualisation skills: ability to create visual representations of data to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Time management: experience of working in a high-paced environment and able to prioritise when faced with multiple competing priorities. Problem-solving: ability to identify data anomalies or compliance issues and propose actionable solutions based on analysis, taking ownership and driving issues to resolution. Statistical modelling: experience in building predictive models to assess risks or identify potential compliance violations.
