Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join our Claims team, responsible for generating and maintaining key reports and data insights to support the Claims business, as well as playing an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Claims Management Information Team and should be passionate about data analytics, data visualization, problem solving and continuous improvements.
They should have a good understanding of all aspects of the data lifecycle and keep abreast of emerging trends in the reporting and data analytics domain.
The successful candidate will provide data analysis and insights that will contribute towards the design and achievement of the overall claim's strategic objectives.Job Responsibilities Generate regular reports on KPI performance indicators for internal and external stakeholders Use statistical methods to analyse data and identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement.
Ensure base line metrics, KPIs and SLA standards are agreed and mechanisms in place to measure and monitor.
Support and implement solutions for intake of data from both internal and external sources, as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked.
Work with business users to develop and refine reporting and analytics requirements.
Contribute towards the data strategy and the wider Data and Analytics function through the identification of new value add and continuous improvement opportunities.
Work on complex projects that require both depth and breadth of knowledge in several technologies and the insurance business.
Identity and analyze opportunities for improvement in the business.
Deliver business process improvements to the function with the objective of increasing operational efficiency.
Creation of Reporting Dashboards and enhancement of current suite of reports to highlight and confirm department performance and achievement of company requirements, to be submitted at CMT and EMT level.
Education Relevant Qualification in Computer Science / M.Sc.
in Data Analytics or similar qualifications.
Tableau / PowerBI / SQL / Microsoft Office certifications desirable.
Python, R, SQL (including T-SQL and NoSQL).
Experiences• Experience as an Information / Data / Continuous Improvement Analyst within a Financial Services company.• 3+ years of SQL experience is a must.
Python, R, T-SQL and NoSQL beneficial.
.• Excellent Microsoft Office skills is a must (including Microsoft Access and Visio).• Experience with Tableau and other data visualisation tools is a must..• Experience in leveraging SQL to acquire, transform and extract insights from large scale complex datasets into meaningful reports for business consumption.• Experience reporting on or presenting key findings and recommendations within a business environment.• Understanding of data modelling and data warehouse concepts.• Experience with data quality and data profiling.• Lean / Six Sigma experience highly advantageous.
