The Data Center (DC) Security Team provides physical security solutions to protect AWS personnel, facilities, and customer information.
As a Security Support Specialist, you will drive operational security excellence within Data Centers while collaborating with partner teams and leaders.
You will manage communications, assist with electronic surveillance and access control requests, and streamline efficiency for Data Centre Security Managers.
Your position will require you to extract metrics and observe improvements by analyzing data.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record in customer service, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a chat queue, phone communications, generate/manage trouble tickets, and provide customer support.
- Drive security awareness campaigns to enhance security vigilance.
- Manage workflow ticketing and develop performance metrics.
- Configure physical security devices including cameras and access control systems.
- Support daily operational security across a data center campus.
- Distil overarching security strategy into daily tactics to achieve management goals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 to 5 years experience in operations room/centre
- Exposure to Physical Security operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years in operations, physical security or equivalent environment
- 2+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data
- Basic knowledge of physical security systems and their operation, including access control and video surveillance.
