Summary:

Our client, a leader in the animal health sector located in Dublin, is seeking a Data Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building animal data models and ensuring data quality and integrity. This position requires close collaboration with Marketing, IT, R&D teams, and veterinary professionals to develop innovative farm and animal KPIs that promote health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-quality, up-to-date data, as well as supporting the development of animal health records and diagnostic data models.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement data models revolving around animals. Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification schemes. Collaborate with marketing, veterinary professionals, researchers, data engineers, and data management teams to identify data-related requirements and ensure alignment with animal health objectives. Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve issues or anomalies in animal health records and datasets. Conduct data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of animal health data. Establish data documentation and metadata management processes for animal health records, diagnostics, and research data. Provide guidance and support to veterinary professionals and researchers on data governance best practices and standards in animal health. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Information Systems Management or a related field. Minimum 5 years of proven hands-on experience working as a Data Steward, Data Manager, Data Custodian, or in a similar role. Proficiency in data quality, cataloguing, modelling, analysis, and metadata management. Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as Collibra, Immuta, and Data Bricks. Experience harvesting data from ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and Salesforce, with a proven track record of building complex customer data models in international corporations. Experience in Data Science or a related field is an advantage. Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal health data management principles. Experience working for multinational company.
