Role Summary In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and validation of data migration processes. As a Data Migration Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient transfer of data between systems while maintaining data integrity and compliance with industry regulations. You will leverage your deep understanding of data management practices and migration tools to develop comprehensive migration strategies, conduct impact assessments, and mitigate risks associated with data transitions. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels including third party stakeholders.
Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end data migration process, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.Develop and implement data migration strategies and methodologies in accordance with industry best practices.Develop and maintain data migration plans, schedules, and budgets.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data migration requirements and set clear project scopes and timelines.Lead and manage a team of data migration specialists, providing guidance and support throughout the migration process.Coordinate data cleansing, mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading activities throughout the migration lifecycle.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential data issues during the migration process.Oversee the testing and validation of migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards.Provide ongoing support and training to team members on data migration tools and techniques.Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data migration, preferably within the Financial Services industry.Strong technical skills, including experience with data mapping and transformation, ETL processes, database management systems and data transformation tools.Excellent project management skills with a track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.About NTT DATA NTT DATA is a $30 billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
