An opportunity has arisen for a Data Protection and Regulatory Compliance Specialist. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to data protection laws and regulations, handling complaints efficiently, and maintaining ISO certification standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in data privacy, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems.
As a Data Protection and Regulatory Compliance Specialist, your role will be integral to the day-to-day operations of our client's Risk and Compliance team. You will be responsible for conducting regular data protection impact assessments, acting as the primary point of contact for all data protection queries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing complaint processes, overseeing ISO certifications, among other duties.
ResponsibilitiesConduct regular data protection impact assessments and audits.Act as the primary point of contact for data protection queries and issues, both internally and externally.Ensure data subjects' rights are upheld, including managing subject access requests and data breach responses.Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements within the real estate sector.Stay abreast of changes in the regulatory environment and communicate these changes promptly to relevant stakeholders.Develop and deliver training programs to staff on regulatory compliance and data protection.Manage the complaints handling process, ensuring complaints are addressed promptly and effectively.Oversee the maintenance and improvement of ISO 9001 and other relevant ISO certifications.What you will bringBachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional certification in data protection.3-5 years of experience in data protection, regulatory compliance, and ISO management.In-depth understanding of GDPR and other relevant laws.Strong analytical skills.Excellent communication abilities.
