It is essential to uphold the utmost compliance with regulatory programs, such as Health & Safety and Risk Management standards.
As a proactive leader, possessing the necessary knowledge and experience to implement operational change programs within the nursing service is crucial.
Collaboration with residents, family members, nursing staff, caregivers, and other team members in setting goals and planning care is vital.
Participation in multi-disciplinary healthcare teams and working cooperatively with team members is key to success.
Requirements Qualified Registered Psychiatric Nurse with An Bord Altranais/NMBI registration or eligibility to register Candidate will have a minimum of five years post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in mental health.
Candidates must possess the necessary knowledge and abilities, meeting high standards of suitability and demonstrating clinical, managerial, leadership, and administrative competencies. Thorough understanding of the Mental Health Commission requirements is essential, as well as excellent knowledge and experience of health, safety, and statutory regulations impacting healthcare organizations.
Evidence of ongoing professional development at an appropriate level is required.
Strong people management experience and skills are a must, along with the ability to effectively respond to and manage medical and psychiatric emergencies.
