St. Joseph's Foundation is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities.
Founded in 1968 the Foundation has grown through continuously responding to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The Foundation presently provides early intervention, pre-school, school, adult day services, residential, respite care, elder care and home support in the North Cork and Southwest Limerick region.
We have day services in Charleville and Liskennett with residential services in Co Limerick: Ballylanders, Croom, Ballyagran, Bruree, Kilmallock, Dromcollogher and in Co Cork: Charleville, Dromina, Newtownshandrum, Buttevant and Newmarket. St Josephs are looking for a Deli / Catering Assistant for our Cafe in Charleville that opened in April 2023.. Full Time 35 hours a week Monday-Friday The ideal candidate will have: Previous barista experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to work with food.
Flexible with the ability to work on own initiative as well as working as part of the team.
Be friendly, professional and polite Duties and Responsibilities: Provide a fast, friendly and efficient level of customer service.
Preparing and serving beverages Preparing and serving food items Answering customer's questions about menu choices Taking payments and operating tills Ensure the regular and systematic cleaning and maintenance of the equipment in the restaurant, both front of house (and back of house if required) ensuring that hygiene and food safety standards are adhered to.
Setting up counters and merchandising the restaurant.
To adhere to specifications, standards and procedures while at work.
