YOUR ROLE As Delivery Manager you will be expected to be the most senior single point of contact between clients, stakeholders and vendors. You will be a key communication channel from across programme up to Cx/Board level and be able to make decisions and have the ability to develop and apply strategic insights to support client requirements.

The Delivery Manager will be responsible for defining key success criteria and how delivered value will be measured and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the delivery function.

Key Responsibilities of the role: Contribute to the strategic plans for ICT initiatives aligning technology goals with business objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the ICT delivery function, leveraging best practices, lessons learned, and feedback to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of ICT professionals including project managers, developers, analysts and testers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement to ensure effective project delivery. Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to define project/programme objectives, scope and success criteria, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities. Drive innovation and thought leadership in ICT delivery practices, leveraging emerging technologies, methodologies and best practices to drive business value. Plan, direct, and co-ordinate activities to manage and implement complex programmes from project initiation through to delivery. Engage with the Programme Management Office (PMO), escalating project risks and issues as appropriate. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including senior management and vendors to ensure project success and alignment with business objectives. Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges to minimise impact on programme delivery. Implement quality assurance processes and standards, in line with Delivery Methodology, to ensure the delivery of high-quality ICT solutions that meet user requirements and expectations. Provide regular updates and reports (including metrics) on programme progress, status and performance to stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged through the delivery lifecycle. YOUR PROFILE A track record of successfully delivering complex projects, programmes and portfolios. Familiarisation with governance frameworks, including understanding industry standards, legal obligations and security protocols related to ICT project delivery. Deep expertise in project management methodologies and tools as used in large integrated environments, including Waterfall and Agile and Hybrid. Knowledge of all aspects of the application development cycle. Ability to talk the language of tax, whether payroll tax, sales tax, income tax or corporation tax, and from the perspective of taxpayer, company. A solid understanding of ICT systems, architectures and infrastructure to understand project requirements, assess risks and make informed decisions. Ability to align ICT projects with goals and strategies to drive projects that deliver tangible value to the business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Ability to identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues. Ability to problem-solve, make quick decisions and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
