Our Hotel is located in the heart of Killarney Town Centre and is part of the O'Donoghue Ring Collection.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Pastry Chef to join our culinary team.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a creative flair, and a strong commitment to producing high-quality pastries and desserts.
As a Demi Pastry Chef, you will work closely alongside an experienced Pastry Chef, assisting in the creation of a wide range of baked goods and desserts.
This is a fantastic opportunity to refine your skills and learn from a seasoned professional while contributing to the culinary excellence of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities: Pastry Preparation: Assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods, following recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef.
Creativity and Innovation: Contribute ideas and participate in the creation of new dessert and pastry items, ensuring that offerings are modern, innovative, and align with the restaurant's concept.
Quality Control: Ensure consistency and quality in all pastries and desserts, maintaining high standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food, as well as the cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workspaces.
Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations and support the overall success of the restaurant.
Skills required: Skills: Strong pastry and dessert-making skills, including knowledge of various techniques and ingredients.
Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for pastry arts are essential.
Communication: Good verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
Time Management: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business.
