Deputy Company Secretary (12-month FTC) A talented and dedicated Deputy Company Secretary is required to support the Aon Ireland Company Secretary in maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance and providing advice and guidance to our Boards and senior management.
This is a 12 months fixed term hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Dublin office.

What the day will look like In this role, you will: Support the Aon Ireland Company Secretary in delivering high standard governance and secretariat services to the Aon Ireland legal entity Boards and Committees and senior management teams Provide company secretarial services (including preparation of agendas and distribution of meeting packs, minutes and general meeting support (such as maintenance of action and decision logs, meeting logistics) and governance/technical guidance Ensure the timely completion of all statutory filings and updates to statutory records and registers Arrange for the execution of documents as required, including sealing, apostilling and notarisation Assist with various tax restructuring transactions and strategic projects Monitor changes in relevant legislative and the regulatory environment and recommend appropriate action Work closely and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including other global teams as part of "Delivering Aon United" Support the Company Secretary in managing relationships with regulatory bodies, auditors, and legal advisors Contribute to team meetings and assist in continuously improving department processes and governance practices Maintain the highest Secretarial standards, expertise and service to key partners.

Skills and experience that will lead to success ICSA qualification or degree in business, compliance, or a legal qualification, preferably strong experience in a company secretarial or corporate governance role Strong knowledge of Irish company law in general (particularly the Companies Act 2014) and corporate governance regulations and best practices Knowledge of Diligent Board Books and Diligent Entities an advantage Excellent organisational and communication skills Attention to detail and the ability to work independently Confidence to collaborate closely across all levels of the business A positive and proactive approach and strong team ethic.
